Terms and Conditions

Confirming your reservation
A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking request in order to confirm the reservation.
Reservations made 7 days or less before arrival requires a 100% deposit.
Payment may be made via Credit/Cheque Card or bank deposit. 
Cash deposits must be made at the ATM as over counter deposits will be subject to additional fees. 
International bank transfers will be subject to additional bank fees.
Deposits are due within 12-48 hours from time of your reservation request (depending on the date of the reservation)
A reservation will be assumed to have been cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date.
Final payment is due at least 7 days prior to arrival.

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the SA SOJOURN (PTY) LTD t/a SABIE SELF CATERING APARTMENTS Bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.  

PLEASE NOTE:  The Cancellation and Modification & Forced Cancellation Due to Lock down policy applicable to your reservation, will be subject to which channel you used to book your reservation.  Please refer to the cancellation policy on your confirmation if you booked through a 3rd party /online booking

Cancellation & Modification Policy (Direct bookings only)
If cancelled or modified within 7 days of the date of arrival or in case of no-show, the FULL price of the reservation will be charged.
If cancelled or modified 8-15 days before arrival, 50% of the FULL amount will be charged.
If cancelled or modified 16 days or more before date of arrival, a R200 administration fee will be charged.·        
Modification will only be allowed one time and a 100% cancellation fee will be charged should the modified reservation be cancelled. (If with-in 7 days of arrival no modification will be possible and the full amount will be forfeited)
Cancellation due to flight delays or other travel problems are non-refundable.  Please take this up with your Travel Insurer.
No refunds will be considered for late arrivals, no shows or early departures.


FORCED Cancellation DUE TO COVID LOCK-DOWN (Direct bookings only)
Should the President place the country under lock down and you are prohibited to travel the following policy will apply:
0- 7 days prior to arrival:  50% of the full amount will be forfeited, alternatively the reservation dates may be re-scheduled to a date with in 12 months of original travel.  
8-14 Days prior to arrival, 25% of the full amount will be forfeited, alternatively the reservation dates may be rescheduled to a date with in 12 a months period.  
15 days and more prior to arrival, a R100 cancellation fee will apply per unit.
* Note:  Rescheduled reservations are subject to the " season rate" .
Rescheduling will only be allowed one time and a 100% cancellation fee will be charged should the modified reservation be cancelled.

Check in times are between 15:00 and 19:00.
Arrivals after 19:00 is subject to prior arrangement and acceptance of our late arrival terms.
A surcharge may be charged for late arrivals.  No arrival will be possible after 20:00. Please allow additional travelling time to avoid arriving after 8pm as no arrival is possible after 20:00.

Check-out time by 10:00 "Late check-out" must be arranged in advance and is subject to a surcharge of R150 for each hour (or part thereof) later than 10:00.  (NOT possible on days when new guests are arriving for the unit and/or Saturday, Sundays)  A surcharge of R250 (per hour, or part thereof) will be payable for unauthorized late departures.

Group (More than 1 Apartment booked) Key deposit:  
A R500 (per unit) Breakage/excessive clean-up deposit will be payable on arrival in cash.  This deposit will be refunded on departure, after inspection of the Apartments, and minus any breakages or excessive cleaning fees. Damages in excess of the deposit  held, will be charged to the guests, and payable on departure. (Group bookings are defined as a booking of 2 Apartments or more for one group of guests)

Damages/Breakages etc
Note that you will be responsible for any breakages, damages or losses, irrespective if we collected a breakage deposit or not.  Report any breakages, damages etc to the Manager prior to arrival.

As the parents, guardians, or chaperones of children you are personally and legally responsible for and must supervise them at all times.  Any damages by children, including soiling of beds, drawing on walls etc will be for your account.

Pool Rules 
Pool Hours: 09:00 - 19:00
Guests swim at their own risk.  No life Guard is on duty at this Pool.  Children 12yrs and younger must be accompanied by a person 16 yrs or older.
NO; Running, Diving, Throwing of things or persons, other dangerous activities, skinny dipping, swimming in underwear.  No Glass around the Pool area.  No Food in the Pool. No Littering - this includes cigarette buds.   
Misconduct will result in guest/s being asked to leave the pool area immediately.

No Guest pets are allowed on the premises.

No "outside visitors" are allowed. A charge of R1000 will be applicable it any additional guests are on the property at any time.
No smoking/hubbly-bubbly/braai is allowed inside the Apartments, smoking is allowed outside.

Please consider your fellow guests and keep noise to a minimum.  No noise at all after 9pm and before 8am.
We are strict on these rules as we are in a residential neighborhood. 
No parties will be allowed on the premises at all.
No music allowed on the premises at all.


The owner ,as well as staff , contractors and agents connected to the premises cannot be held responsible for any deaths, injury or illness sustained or suffered by any person, or theft, loss or damage to property, occurring within or arising from occupancy or a visit to the Apartments, using of any facilities including the Pool, howsoever caused and whether due to the negligence of the owner or staff, contractors or agent.
