Pligrim's Rest
The town consist of a Up Town and a Down Town , it is a historical Gold mining Town.
The entire Town was declared a National Monument in 1986 as a living memory of the early gold rush days in South Africa.

Gold panning
The Diggings Site is an authentic reconstruction of how the Valley once looked. You can go on a Guided Tour of the Site, and see a Gold Panning Demonstration, or you can get your hands dirty and try Gold Panning yourself.
